About us
We are a group of local people keen to get growing sustainably in our area. We have a range of skills and experience, and hope to develop the site as a resource for local people to share skills related to food and growing.
We've finally been awarded approximately £46,000 from Community Spaces, a Big Lottery fund. This will build the bare bones of our project, fence, water connection, raised beds, polytunnel, growing mounds and a few other elements.
This will give us a garden, with space to grow food. Then we can get on with creating all sorts of other amazing features to help create a sustainable, vibrant community garden in north Peckham.

We meet on site every Sunday from 1- 3pm - check the site or contact us to join the mailing list to get regular updates.
Dress for the weather, wear stout shoes, and bring any gardening equipment if you have such as gloves, secateurs / loppers, spades, shovel or fork. A flask of tea goes down well. Children are welcome but need to be accompanied by an adult.
We aim to
Work with the local community to increase the understanding of healthy, local and fresh food.
Promote food growing, organic horticulture, permaculture and other ecological issues through skill sharing and volunteering.
Help improve the local green environment in Burgess Park and the surrounding area.
Help regenerate the local community, contribute to sustainable development in London and enhance the life of the park.
